Dr. Balzani is a former Pharmacist, retired OB-GYN, with 40+ yrs working in the Addiction field and presently a Certified Holistic Health, Wellness and Nutrition Coach. He presently lectures in the areas of Health, Wellness, and Substance Abuse. FSO Bergen is very pleased to welcome Dr. Balzani for an informal meet and greet with parents and caregivers to discuss and answer any of your questions!

All about Learning Disabilities, How to Recognize and Collaborate with your School District!

Is your child showing signs of anxiety, depression and/or school avoidance? Could it be a learning disability?  Join us for an evening of learning about various learning disabilities, how to recognize them and how to collaborate with your school district in the best interest of your child!

Find out your Special Education Rights in NJ! Come join us for an overview of parents/guardian rights to advocate for their child in the school system. This workshop will assist parents and guardians advocate for their children/grandchildren in the NJ school system.

Children thrive on feelings of belonging and the affection that comes from having caring and supportive families.  All families go through good and difficult times, however, a family with a healthy dynamic is able to interact with each other in a respectful and safe way. Join us for an evening of learning strategies to improve your family’s dynamic where:

  • Each family member is valued and respected
  • 2 way communication exists
  • Effort to understand and trust others exists
  • Family is collaborative  and engaged
  • Commitment to family’s holistic well-being is present

Topic:  Talking About Difficult History

This workshop is open to all! including Resource parents, Relatives/Grandparents, Adoptive parents raising youth and also any interested community members! Sharing painful information about a child’s history or birth family can be challenging for resource parents and those raising relative’s children. This workshop will help you develop the skills to competently tell the children you are raising difficult information and help them process it.
