Strategic Approaches to the IEP

Each student receiving special education services has an Individualized Education Program (IEP) that lists all supports to be provided. In order to navigate the special education system and help students obtain meaningful benefit, parents and professionals must understand the IEP document itself, how appropriate evaluations can determine services and effective collaboration techniques.  This workshop walks participants through identifying needs, creating goals, determining services and placements needed to achieve those goals and measuring progress.

Presenter:  Elena Napravnik, M. Ed., Information Services Manager, Autism NJ
